TRE Election August 30, 2014 • What is a Tax Ratification Election? (TRE) • To raise taxes for maintenance and operations to help fund salaries, utilities, fuel, supplies etc. • Taxes would increase from $1.04 to $1.17 • Proposals are: • Additional 2% increase of midpoint for all staff • Deferred maintenance projects
