The owners of Florida Vocational Institute possess over a decade of experience with adult learners in career training. Florida Vocational Institute is licensed by the State of Florida Commission for Independent Education License Number: 3441 (CIE) since October 2006. Florida Vocational Institute is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing to offer the Nursing Assistant/HHA Program License Number/Testing Code: 1159 (previously 792). The purpose of Florida Vocational Institute is to offer affordable training and employable skills in challenging and rewarding careers. The Medical Assistant program at Florida Vocational Institute prepares you for an exciting career in the healthcare industry. Medical Assisting is one of the more popular healthcare positions that are currently projected to grow in upcoming years. Our graduates are trained for entry-level positions in hospitals, doctors’ offices, urgent care clinics, and several other medical facilities in all the relevant aspects of administrative, laboratory, and clinical procedures. You will learn how to provide the care necessary to assist your physician and comfort your patient. Patient Care Technician students will learn the proper way to collect bodily fluids for testing, sanitize a patient’s room, and monitor a patient’s condition. Under the guidance of a physician or practitioner, students will learn how to check blood and glucose levels, vital
signs and provide home healthcare needs to patients. Having been equipped with the technical knowledge, you will learn how to manage the wide array of responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician with poise. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program at Florida Vocational Institute will provide you with a foundation in long-term patient care. Exploring topics in rehabilitative and geriatric care, you will practice proper patient care from feeding, grooming, and bathing techniques. You will learn CPR and the proper way to maintain a healthy environment within your patient’s home.
