13. Early Application Options * There are some exceptions to these responses.

Early Application Pros / Cons ADVANTAGES: • More colleges are started to admit a significant portion of students through the Early Process • Applications completed a month or two earlier • Learn the outcome by start of winter vacation • If deferred, move forward to regular decision applications DISADVANTAGES: • The schools will not be able to use semester 1 grades to calculate GPA • If ED, cannot compare financial aid offers • If ED, need to be SURE • Early deadlines • Limited time for additional testing

15. Early Application • Letter of Recommendation Kit is Due to Counselor: September 11 • Application Due Date Range: October 15 - November 15 • Learn Results: December 15 - 20

16. Regular Decision Application • Letter of Recommendation Kit is due to Counselor: October 16 • Typical College Due Date: January 1 • Learn Results: March

17. This Summer… Continue researching and visiting colleges with the goal of focusing on 9-12 that fit your academic and personal goals: • 2-3 Probable Schools • 3-5 Target Schools • 2-3 Reach Schools
