  1. I. UNIST Portal • UNIST Portal - Portal site for people in UNIST http://portal.unist.ac.kr • On UNIST Portal, you can - register classes - check exam grades - get an e-mail account - get information/notices from the university - etc.

  2. 1) Portal Login Page http://portal.unist.ac.kr/student Open a web browser and type the URL (http://portal.unist.ac.kr) in the web browser’s address box. In order to login, you need to install several ActiveX controls. To install all Active X controls at a time, click the “ActiveX installation” button.

  3. 2) ActiveX Installation Click the “ActiveX installation” button, and you can see pop-up windows telling the process of installation. Currently, UNIST portal site allows you to use Fire Fox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

  4. 3) Portal Login Page Open a new Internet Explorer window and type the address http://portal.unist.ac.kr. Select the ‘ENGLISH’ radio button. To create an account, click the “ID Registration” button.

  5. 4) ID Registration <STEP 1 – ID Registration> Select the ‘agree’ checkbox to agree and click “ID Registration” button. <STEP 2 – Confirmation> Type your name and Resident Number and click ‘OK’ * Your Resident number is your birthday YYMMDD- xxxxxxx (in case you’ve been given a resident number, type your own) * Type your Lastname+Firstname with no space in the name box <STEP 3 – Input ID & Password> After typing your ID, you are required to press the “Duplicate Check” button. The following usernames are not recommended: unist, public, webmaster, web, and any usernames that can be offensive.

Resident Registration Number • Alien Card • Issued by Government of Korea ###### - ####### • Your Temporal Resident Registration Number for UNIST Portal is : (Your birthday) YYMMDD – 5000000(for male) YYMMDD – 6000000(for female) * For those who already have a resident number, you may type the number for the registration on Portal.

  7. 6) Portal Login Page http://portal.unist.ac.kr Go to http://portal.unist.ac.kr -> type your ID/Password – click the LOGIN button

  8. 7) Portal Main page Click to change password notice boards, QnA, etc. Register classes, check grades and scholarships, and modify personal information Check e-mail Your E-mail address will be: Your ID @unist.ac.kr

  9. 8) UNIST Info Services You may check your attendance status via this menu. 1 Gb of private web space will be assigned when a portal account is created Click ‘Info Services’and then ‘Card & Mobile’ located in the submenu.
