Traditional Economies • Many are subsistence farmers as well. • What is subsistence agriculture? • Farming just enough to feed your family or village this included animals as well.
Government • How would you describe governments for these people? • Whatever the government of their country, is the government they must abide by. • Most tribes have their own traditional governments • Male is the leader, and makes all the rules.
Your Task • As you can already see, you are in a group, this is your group or tribe for the next three weeks • Your task • Come up with a name and place it on a name card • Come up with your culture (government, way of life, traditions, etc.) • Pick a place on your map that you want to live and mark it with a house symbol and write a paragraph describing why your group picked there to live. • Make a tribal mask using the paper plate. • Yours has to be somewhat similar to your groups, or pick group colors to use. YOU WILL PRESENT THIS TO THE CLASS ON FRIDAY AFTER YOUR QUIZ!
