  7. What Have We Been Doing? • Spring 2002 – • Experimented several communication strategies • Designed system components • Setup development environment • Summer ’02 – • Installed communication hardware [cdpd] • Created system Back End

What Have We Been Doing? • Fall ’02 • Expanded tracking to all MIT shuttles • Expanded functionality of back end • Addressed Issues of Hardware Damage • IAP ’03 • Developed Front End, van Polling software, and Stop Detection Algorithm • Spring ’03 • Continued Development of Front End and Back End • Installed steel safety cases and reinstalled hardware into vans • Developed Custom GIS Maps with accurate Lat/Long Coordinates of Stops Recorded in System
