Human Resources • Developing nations have inadequate education, job training, diet and medical care. • These often result in low worker productivity. • These nations are struggling to improve education and training to improve their economies.
1st, 2nd, 3rd Worlds • After WWII, USA and USSR competed. • First World – USA and powerful allies (Britain, Canada) • Second World – Soviet Union • Third World – Poor countries that resisted alignment. Indonesia, Libya. • These terms are no longer used by economists today
