The Purpose • The purpose of the Apollo 11 mission was to beat Russia and be the first to walk on the moon.
Any Complications? • There were few to no complications.
Facts • The Apollo 11 crew spent over 400 hours in a simulator preparing for Apollo 11. • The Apollo 11 crew landed on a spot on the moon called The Sea Of Tranquility. • It was called The Sea Of Tranquility because it was smooth with few boulders and craters. • The astronauts had to be careful to not close the hatch because it didn’t have a handle on the outside. • There was conflict afterwards because Aldrin clamed to have been the first to walk on the moon.
