Course Pacing Guide for Health • 6th Grade and 7th Grade (if we are teaching Health both grades) • What units being taught throughout the 9 week quarters? • Example: • Week One – Introduction to Health and Materials • Week Two & Three – Mental and Emotional Health • Week Four & Five – Nutrition • Week Six & Seven – Personal Health and Activity • Week Eight & Nine – Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs

  6. Schedule Plans/Layout and Locker Room Usage • Basic Schedule for HPE for 2012-2013: • DCMS Schedule – see schedule handout. • What gym, room, locker room usage?

  7. Working Inventory & Needs Lists • Inventory Lists – Do we need to get anything extra? (books, equipment, materials, etc.) • Needs – Anything outside of HPE Equip? – SMARTBOARDS, Safety & First Aid Needs, etc.

  8. FITNESSGRAM • Testing for 2012-2013 • The tests being used: Height, Weight, BMI, Push-up, Curl-up, PACER, Sit and Reach • Performing the Tests (participation activity) • Input into Database • district wide and state wide
