2. Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. (Matthew 5:17‑18).

5. God Sin Versus 17-18 What we are able to accomplish What God is able to accomplish Brought forth sin. Brought us forth by the word of truth. Verses 15-16 The result is death. The Result is life. Therefore… Because anger does not bring forth the righteousness of God. Be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger

8. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city. (Proverbs 16:32).

9. Be Quick… To hear Be Slow… To speak To anger Present Tense: “Let each man continue to be...”

13. James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

15. paraku,ptw James 1:25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does. “Stoop sideways” But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in… (Luke 24:12)

16. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses (Acts 13:38-39). The Law could not free anyone

17. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-4).

18. “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 31:33).

19. “And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” (Jeremiah 31:34).

20. Hearer and Doer He looks intently at the word. He bends over it and studies it. Hearer Only He immediately forgets. He becomes an effectual doer. He contemplates the word (Greek). There is no fault in the way he looks, but he then goes and forgets. He deludes himself. He is blessed in what he does. He does not bridle his tongue. He is slow to speak.

21. Hearer and Doer He visits orphans and widows and keeps himself unstained from the world. Hearer Only His religion is worthless. His religion is pure and undefiled. He is quick to anger and has not put aside all filthiness and wickedness. Unbeliever. True believer.

22. James 1:26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

23. James 1:27 This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. • How do you treat others? • How do you keep yourself?
