Approval Criteria • Adherence to State Board of Education (SBE) Template • Sufficient Expenditures in Budget to Implement LCAP • Adherence to SBE Expenditure Regulations
Development Process As part of the LCFF, school districts and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), beginning on July 1, 2014 Cambrian steps: • Revise Local Education Agency Plan (LEAP) in alignment with Strategic Plan and Needs Assessment • Revise SPSAs in alignment with LEAP and Strategic Plan • Throughout year, obtain parent and public input in developing LCAP • Determine LCAP goals, actions, and funding • Based on input, LEAP, SPSAs and State Priorities • Public Hearing • Local School Board approval
Cambrian LCAP Goals • Teachers will use CCSS ELA aligned materials and strategies to fully implement CCSS ELA instruction and assessment. • Teachers will use CCSS Math aligned materials and strategies to fully implement CCSS Math instruction and assessment. • Students needing assistance will be provided with monitored, targeted interventions. • Teachers will align ELD instruction with ELD standards. • Students and teachers will have increased access to technology to enhance student learning and promote literacy in ELA and Math. • Schools will maintain a positive school culture and foster an inclusive, effective learning environment in which students and families feel connected and successful in their learning. Parents will participate as classroom volunteers, in school functions and as part of governance opportunities. • Provide all students with highly qualified teachers.
Moving Forward • Submit LCAPs to SCCOE • Review and respond to any SCCOE requests for clarification • Review potential recommendations • Revise LCAPS as needed • Monitor Actions and Budget throughout year • Follow timeline for review and submission to SCCOE for 15-16 school year
