  3. ACOs Q+A Q.How much extra money is CMS planning to spend on ACOs? A. $0; if ACOs work properly CMS will pay less money for Medicare services in communities. Q. How many ACOs can a provider participate in? A. For Medicare FFS, the law seems to limit participation to one ACO, but a provider could participate in other ACOs with multiple commercial payers or their state.
