Andante Andante means to play at a medium speed. If someone is playing andante, it is like the are going at a walking speed. Notice how this song ,“Surprise”, is played at a leisurely and relaxing pace. This is an example of an Andante tempo.
Largo Largo means “very slowly”. If someone is playing largo, it is like they are moving at the pace of a snail. • This song, “Moonlight Sonata” • is played very slowly. Do you notice • how it feels to move at a very ‘sleepy’ pace? • This is an example playing largo.
