  2. In the beginning…. • In Ancient China, there were 3 main types of ceremonial clothing. For example: • Pien-fu • Chang-Pao • Shen-I

  3. Pien-fu • A Pien-fu is a two-piece costume that extends to the knees. It is accompanied by a skirt or pants that extend to the ankles.

  4. Chang-Pao • A Chang-Pao is a one piece dress that goes down to the ankles.

  5. Shen-I • Also a two piece of a tunic and robe, like a Pien-fu, however the robe and tunic are sewn together.

  6. Clothing With CLASS! • In China, Clothing was also divided by class, or more by if you could afford it. • For Example:

  7. Here, and Now! • Modern Chinese clothing is a mixture of both traditional clothing and common clothing.
