The North-West Native Americans • In America the first people weren't Europeans. They actually were natives to the new found land. These Native Americans lived everywhere but this presentation is specifically about the North-Westerners.
Tribes • The main tribes of the North-West were the Hupa, Bella Cooles, Coos, Kwakiutls. All of these tribes make up the North-West Native American community.
How Nature Affected Them. • In the North-West the climate is very moderate. Having cold but not icy winters and cool summers. The summer is also very rainy because of the mountains keeping storms over the area. This allows people to where light clothing such as deer pelts.
Human Environment Interaction • The Native Americans have always been close to nature. Nature gave these people everything that they needed. The abundant rains made for easy crop growing. They also had plenty of trees to build their houses.
Housing • All Native Americans that live in this region lived in plank houses. These were made out of sturdy frames and long cedar planks. These were very impressive for the time they were built.
Beliefs • All Native American tribes had very unique beliefs. But we do know that Native Americans believed in many gods and thought everything had a spirit.
