Attention 9th-11th graders! Choose two books to read for your language arts class assessment in the fall. Additional requirements for Honors and AP students are detailed in the slides. Specific book assignments and due dates are provided for different grade levels. Remember to check with your teachers and refer to the provided blog posts for more information.

Summer Reading! All 9th-11th graders are expected to read two books of your own choosing. There will be an assessment of your reading during the start of the fall session in your Language Arts class. Happy Reading! * Honors and AP students have additional requirements (See additional slides)
10th grade HONORS students2017-18 SUMMERREQUIREMENTS : • One book of your own choosing • Catcher in the Rye by J.D.Salinger **Assignment to be found on Mrs. Sullivan’s and Mrs. Kraft’s blogs THE LAST WEEK in June. You may also pick it up from your current 9th grade teacher. ** All work is due the first full day of class in September!
11th grade AP Language and Composition2017-18 SUMMER REQUIREMENTS : • The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck • The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain as that will be the first novel assigned in the fall. Short Story-“The Pit and the Pendulum” by Edgar Allan Poe • Students should see Mr. Rydzik in room E-11 to check out books and get their handouts.
12th grade AP Literature SUMMER REQUIREMENTS : • All the King’s Men byRobert Penn Warren • Antigone (Sophocles) • Oedipus (Sophocles) **Please see Mr. Tyler (C-3) with any questions and refer to his blog in June for assignments and due dates.
