Introduction • Affixes are letter or syllable added at the beginning or end of a root word. • Root word is the form of word after all the affixes are removed. • There are two kind of affixes: prefix and suffix. • Prefixes are letters or syllables placed before the root word. • Prefixes changes the meaning of a word.
