  2. 1. A full team consist of 11 players in Soccer. 2. An official soccer game is 90 minutes long, 45 minutes per half. 3. A goal is scored when the ball enters the net and crosses the end line. 4. The ball is considered “out of bounds” when the ball is outside the outer white line of the field. Rules

  3. 5. The positions in Soccer: a. Defender (defense) b. Middle field - assist in both offense and defense c. Forward (offense) d. Goalkeeper - defend the ball from entering in team’s own net 6. Foul: A foul is when a player hits another player. • yellow card: warning a player for a hard foul. (2 yellows = a red) • red card: ejecting a player for a dangerous hard foul.

  4. Types of Kicks (with one exception) 1. Corner Kick: Defending team sends the ball out of bounds across the end line. The offensive team kicks the ball from the corner arc. 2. Goal Kick: Offensive team sends the ball out of bounds across the goal line. The other team kicks the ball from the goal box line. 3. Penalty Kick: The offensive team was fouled in side the penalty box and gets to shoot from the penalty dot.

  5. 4. Free Kick: The team that was fouled gets to kick the ball from where they were fouled. (or from where the ball was touched with the hand) (one exception) 5. Throw in: The ball goes out the sideline and the team that did NOT touch it last gets to throw it back into play from where it exited the field.

  6. 1. Dribbling: to advance the ball in front of you while maintaining control of the ball. 2. Passing: to transition the ball from one teammate to another. • Push pass: A safe pass when close to a teammate. (most used) • Long pass: used to clear the ball long distance to a teammate 3.
