TEVET: Fighting Poverty through Employment • Tevet is an Israeli non-profit partnership between JDC and the Israeli Ministry of Industry Trade and Employment. • Created in 2005 to help 750,000 chronically unemployed Israelis enter the workforce. • Target Populations: Immigrants, Disabled, Minorities, Young Adults Without Support, Jewish Ultra Orthodox.
Without 2 B in Israel ALL ASSISTANCE RENDERED IN ISRAEL ONLY • New Immigrants/Returning Citizens to Israel receive: • Ulpan Hebrew course • Absorption package • Customs and Housing benefits • Health and Education benefits • Employment Assistance • Entrepreneurship Assistance
2 B in Israel: Intervention • Business consultation provided to business owners and entrepreneurs while still abroad. • Consultations provided by highly qualified professionals in the native language of returning citizen/immigrant • Once in Israel, consultation continues to ensure success
