Mentor Information • Commitment: Minimum of six-month commitment • Areas of Involvement (Goals): • Group mentoring of young boys (Kindergarten through 5th grade or ages 5 – 11) • Involved in character education and social behavior development
Mentor Qualifications • Personally involved • Able to communicate • Strong listening skills • Able to establish a relationship • Interest in the needs and concerns • Practical problem-solving skills • Sensitivity to differences
Responsibilities • Minimum six-month commitment • Attend Mentor Orientation & Training • Attend mentoring support sessions as appropriate • Meet monthly with Mentees (classroom sessions) • Assist Mentees in problem-solving • Keep Progress Logs (Pre- and Post-Assessments)
