National Imperatives for Action • 60% of jobs today require some postsecondary education • Almost one-third of students who enroll are not college ready • Only 71% of 9th grade students graduate from high school on time • Only slightly more than 50% of black and Latino students graduate on time. • Only 18% of 9th graders will make it through high school, enter college and earn a two- or four-year degree on time.
