Case Study : IT – DR Banking & Financial Services - MNC client Duration – 5 months Objective Approach • To take inventory of all Applications & Services for INDIA IT operations. • To perform Gap analysis of current DR setup vs. the expectation from the business • To study the existing process followed WRT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery within organization. • To conduct the first DR drill for INDIA IT Infrastructure. • To set the Program Management approach for IT DR. • Study of current practices for BCP – DR approach, followed in other regions of the organization. • Compared approach with BS 25999 standards. • Performed BIA & RA • Define RTO , RPO from current Capability of Infrastructure. • Plan the various strategies to meet the Business expectations – RTO, RPO. • Define the Team structure within team for IT DR activities Results • Performed Business Impact Analysis (BIA) • Performed Risk Assessment (RA) for IT Services. • Able to bring more visibility on High Risk items to meet the Business expectations in terms of RTO, RPO. • Setup Risk Management approach within IT Team. • Set the Project team for IT DR within IT department. • Define Roles & Responsibility for IT DR project team • Prepared the necessary documentation for IT DR. • Plan & Conduct the first DR drill with for INDIA operations • Integrate Change Management Process. • Set Program Management approach for continues Improvement for next 3 years.
