The Day of Judgement Module 1 – Circle 3a
The Final Hour Aisha (may Allah bless her) narrated that Prophet Mohammad pbuh said: "... Allah will send a good (pleasant) wind that will cause death to everyone who even has the weight of a speck of mustard of faith in his heart. The only ones who shall remain (on Earth) will be those who have no goodness; they will return to the religion of their fathers (a religion other than Islam)." (Sahih Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 3a
Who is the Angel Israfil (A.S)? Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (RA) reported that: The Messenger of Allah pbuh said, "How can I feel at ease when the Angel of the Trumpet, (Israfil) has put his lips to the Trumpet and is waiting for the order to blow it?". He pbuh realised that this had shocked his Companions, so he pbuh told them to seek comfort through reciting: `Hasbunallah wa ni`mal-Wakil [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)]". [At-Tirmidhi] Module 1 – Circle 3a
The First Blowing of the Trumpet “On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die)” (79:6) “ When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'” (99:1-3) “So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast, and Earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single blow, on that Day, the Occurrence will occur.” (13:15) "And the trumpet is blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth fall dead, save him whom Allah willeth. Then it is blown a second time, and behold them standing waiting! " (39:68) Module 1 – Circle 3a
The Earth on that Day When the Earth is flattened out and disgorges what is inside it and empties out, hearkening to its Lord, as it is bound to do so! (Surat al-Inshiqaq, 3-5) When the mountains are pulverized. (Surat al-Mursalat, 10) When the oceans flood and overflow. (Surat al-Infitar, 3) When the seas are filled with flames. (Surat at-Takwir, 6) On the Day the sky is like molten brass. (Surat al-Ma‘arij, 8) What you are promised will certainly happen. When the stars are extinguished, when Heaven is split open. (Surat al-Mursalat, 7-9) Module 1 – Circle 3a
The Second Blowing of the Trumpet "And the trumpet is blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth fall dead, save him whom Allah willeth. Then it is blown a second time, and behold them standing waiting! " (39:68) On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. Their eyes cast down. (79:6-9) Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet pbuh said, "I will be the first to raise my head after the second blowing of the trumpet and will see Moses hanging to the Throne, and I will not know whether he had been in that state all the time or after the blowing of the trumpet." Bukhari 6.337 Module 1 – Circle 3a
Will everybody be brought back to life? “They say: ‘Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? Even after we are crumbled bones?’ They say: ‘It would in that case, be a return with loss!’” (79:10-12) “Does the human being think that We cannot assemble his bones? Surely, We are able to reconstruct even his fingertips.” (75:3-4) – Quranic Miracle Module 1 – Circle 3a
The difficulties of the Day of Judgement On the Day, the sky is like molten brass and the mountains like tufts of coloured wool. No good friend will ask about his friend, even though they can see each other. An evildoer will wish that he could ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by means of his sons, his wife, his brother, or his family who sheltered him or everyone else on Earth, if that only meant that he could save himself. (Surat al-Ma‘arij, 8-14) The Day a man will flee from his brother and his mother and his father, and his wife and his children. On that Day every man among them will have concerns enough of his own. (Surah ‘Abasa, 34-37) . . . And you will think people drunk when they are not drunk; it is just that the punishment of Allah is so severe. (Surat al-Hajj, 2) How will you safeguard yourselves, if you disbelieve, against a Day that will turn children gray. (Surat al-Muzzammil, 17) Module 1 – Circle 3a
Will anybody be protected from the difficulties of the Day of Judgement? (Bukhari & Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 3a
How can we make the Day of Judgement easier for ourselves? “On the Day of Resurrection, my followers (or Ummah) will be summoned ‘Al-Ghurr Al-Muhajjalun’ (a light which will shine through the hands and feet of the believers because of their habit of performing Wudu) from the traces of Wudu’.” (Al-Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 3a
