  2. SQUANTO • Squanto (c. 1580s – November 1622)was a Patuxet. He was the Native American who assisted the Pilgrims after their first winter in the New World and was integral to their survival. The Patuxet tribe was a tributary of the Wampanoag Confederacy (From Wikipedia). Last page Next page

  4. - In 1614, he was in England and learned to speak English. - In 1620, the pilgrims moved from England to America to start a new life. Last page Next page

  5. The first winter was long and cold. The pilgrims did not know how to hunt or plant crops, or build warm homes. Many people died. Last page Next page
