Part 4 • Situation of Simulation of response • EMCSIMUADJ Version v0 EXISTS in K_MCT library - Add effect of thresholds - Simulates effect of HOLES - Study of ATT LENGHTS on EndCaps advance but correction not inserted OK for testing .. I can release a version with Switches to try different Simulations .. Still: - the effect with CLUFIXENE is really complicated need a fixes - the hole-response works but needs some refinement - the efficiency for photons in not fully recovered. Status of SELBKG(weights finder and loading) • SELBKG Module - Automatic creation of 2D weights OK - Merge procedure of Histos (Matt) OK - From Histo -> weights (Misc) OK - FZ creation (bggwmaker) (Simona) OK - HEPDB loading automatic DBLOAD OK - 2D weights usage (Fill2Dweights) (Misc+Simona) OK - Control Histos OK - Problems Warning in CELE creation when Nhit>600 (need replace Write ->Erlogr Enlarge NceleMax ->2000) Rebuild OFF Libraries MC meeting LNF 21-3-03 S.Miscetti

Status of SELBKG (bgg files creation) • Missing functionalities - None if fixed CELEMAKER • While testing Yb Files creation found a short running period 17845- 17866 with wrong Timing Calibration (Flag the runs as BAD) • Matt is working on writing the script ..OK General comment is however that in roughly 1 week of serious running using the KTEST queue we produced automatically the 2D weights for 150 pb-1. - Few problems mainly related to KID not to the procedure. - Merging of histograms can be done this afternoon. - DB insertion is automatic. Status of INSERT • Missing functionalities - CEKAMAKER (planned-discussed not completed) - INSERTION OF QCAL Hits - Test of Energy Scale fixing • - First problem can delay the MC generation altough does not require more than 1 day of code-writing. - QCAL point less crucial .. If someone need it another InsertModule can be written in a later stage since QCAE Hits are going to be saved in the BKG file. - The test of energy scale is needed but the correction was already tested last year for ACCELE THE WARNING IS ..
