But, little does he know that a General named Zaroff is not very nice.

  3. “Some wounded thing, by the evidence a large animal, had thrashed about in the underbrush; the jungle weeds were crushed down and the moss was lacerated; one patch of weeds was stained crimson.” (Page 22) Zaroff reveals an important character trait by being very skilled at aiming and shooting at one object with a 22 pistol. His behavior shows that he doesn’t care about other things and people’s life.
