  3. Time to Hatch To make use of Twitter you need to: • Find others to follow • Get others to follow you • Contribute to the conversation • Ask questions • Respond to tweets • Retweet # Are you still an egg?

  4. Your profile counts • Edit your profile to show areas of interest/ expertise • Include a website link, if you have one

  5. Use other channels • Find out if colleagues in other communities use Twitter e.g. at PD/ conferences • Investigate twitter badges on web sites • Teacher recommended tweeters – http://twitter4teachers.pbworks.com/w/page/22554534/FrontPage • Search hash tags – esp. from known conferences e.g#aisitic11

  6. Twitter tools • Are many and varied – here’s just 2: • Tweetdeck – personal browser for Twitter, Facebook, etc ( www.tweetdeck.com/ ) • Tweetdoc – collects and collates tweets based on a hashtag (www.tweetdoc.org/)
