  2. Classroom Policies • Grading Categories: • Tests 25% (2 or 3 per quarter) • Quizzes 15% (every topic) • Classwork 35% • Homework 25% • Late Work Policy • Absences • Cell Phone policy • Books • Lab Fees ($15.00) due by September 30th. • They will credit you 5 parent volunteer hours.

  3. Updates • Biology EOC • It will count for 30% of your child’s final grade. • Interim Assessments: October , January • EOC: May

Biology EOC • Biology EOC is based on the course description for Biology 1 • Fair Game Principle applies (all middle school content is expected) • 60-66 MC questions; a periodic table and calculator will be provided • Reporting Categories (clusters): • Molecular and Cellular Biology(35%) • Classification, Heredity, and Evolution(25%) • Organisms, Populations, and Ecosystems (40%)
