What is Land Application? • Utilizing manure from livestock operations on fields used to grow crops. • Manure can be surface applied onto the soil or injected into the soil.
Why Land Apply Manure? • Manure nutrients help build and maintain soil fertility • Manure can also improve soil tilth, increase water-holding capacity, lessen wind and water erosion, improve aeration, and promote beneficial organisms
