2. Geography • The UK consists of 4 countries:England,Scotland,Wales and N.I. • It is washed by the North Sea,Irish Sea, English Chanal, Atlantic Ocean.

4. Religion • The national religion-Christianity. • Christianity was first introduced to Britain by the Romans. • The next religion is Islam.

5. England • The two main traditional symbols of England are the St George's cross (the English flag), and the Three Lions coat of arms. • Other national symbols exist, but have varying degrees of official usage, such as the oak tree and the rose. • The Tudor rose is the national floral emblem of England, and was adopted as a national emblem of England around the time of the Wars of the Roses.

United Kingdom-climate. • However, temperatures rarely fall below −4 °C and will only rise above 32 °C in the height of the summer. • The highest temperature recorded in England is 38.5 °C on 10 August 2003 at Brogdale, near Faversham, Kent. The lowest temperature ever recorded in England is −26.1 °C on 10 January 1982 at Edgmond, near Newport, Shropshire.
