NAAE Awards NAAE "Teachers Turn the Key" Scholarship Eligible Applicants: NAAE members in their second, third, or fourth year of teaching who have not previously attended NAAE Convention Award: Scholarship for registration to NAAE Convention Four (4) nights hotel (double occupancy with fellow TTTK participant) Airfare or mileage to attend the NAAE annual Convention Special programming during convention geared toward early career teachers Sponsor: Ram Trucks (pending for 2013 – if Ram does not sponsor this award, it will not be given in 2013) As a special project of the National FFA Foundation
NAAE Awards NAAE "Teachers Turn the Key" Scholarship Changes in TTTK Program for 2013 2013 Program Pending RAM Trucks Sponsorship We anticipate the NAAE Teachers Turn the Key Scholarship Program Award will be sponsored by RAM Trucks as a Special Project of the National FFA Foundation for 2013. However, if RAM Trucks does not sponsor this award program for 2013, there will be no program for 2013. Also: States may submit up to two applications per state. Each state with at least one eligible applicant will have a participant. If the program can accommodate extra participants, then the second place applicant from the states submitting one will be chosen to participant.
NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Young Member Eligible applicants: NAAE members who have completed at least 3 but not more than 5 years of teaching. Teachers currently in their sixth year of teaching may apply. Award: Lodging and travel costs to NAAE convention for winner Registration to NAAE Convention Engraved plaque Invitation to a special dinner held in winners’ honor **Previous regional winners not eligible to apply Sponsor:John Deere As a special project of the National FFA Foundation
NAAE Awards National Agriscience Teacher of the Year Award Eligible applicants: NAAE members who have inspired and enlightened their students through engaging and interactive lessons in the science of agriculture. Teachers who have been previously awarded the National Agriscience Teacher of the Year award or named as National Agriscience Teacher of the Year Finalist are ineligible to apply. *each state may submit one state winner for the national judging Awards & Recognition: Six regional winners will be selected (one from each NAAE region) Winners will be recognized onstage at the National FFA Convention Lodging and travel costs to attend NAAE Convention for the winner Registration for the NAAE convention for the winner $1500 grant to purchase agriscience equipment/supplies Engraved plaque Sponsor: PotashCorp(pending for 2013 – if Potash not sponsor this award, it will not be given in 2013) As a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Changes in OPAP Award Program (changes effective in 2010) Change in award eligibility The Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program award recognizes exemplary 2-year postsecondary institutions and full time young farmer and adult ag ed programs. Qualifying young farmer and/or adult ag ed program staff must devote at least 50 percent of their teaching time to this level of instruction.
