NAAE Awards NAAE Upper Division Scholarship Eligible applicants: Students majoring in ag ed Awarded only during student teaching semester *Previous recipients are not eligible Award: 15 scholarships of $750.00 each Sponsor: Delmar Cengage Learning & proceeds from the ticket raffle at the NAAE convention Applications due electronically to the NAAE office by May 15th.

NAAE Awards NAAE "Teachers Turn the Key" Scholarship Eligible Applicants: NAAE members in their second, third, or fourth year of teaching who have not previously attended NAAE Convention Award: Scholarship for registration to NAAE Convention Four (4) nights hotel (double occupancy with fellow TTTK participant) Airfare or mileage to attend the NAAE annual Convention Special programming during convention geared toward early career teachers Sponsor: Ram Trucks (pending for 2013 – if Ram does not sponsor this award, it will not be given in 2013) As a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards NAAE "Teachers Turn the Key" Scholarship Changes in TTTK Program for 2013 2013 Program Pending RAM Trucks Sponsorship We anticipate the NAAE Teachers Turn the Key Scholarship Program Award will be sponsored by RAM Trucks as a Special Project of the National FFA Foundation for 2013. However, if RAM Trucks does not sponsor this award program for 2013, there will be no program for 2013. Also: States may submit up to two applications per state. Each state with at least one eligible applicant will have a participant. If the program can accommodate extra participants, then the second place applicant from the states submitting one will be chosen to participant.

  4. NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Young Member Eligible applicants: NAAE members who have completed at least 3 but not more than 5 years of teaching. Teachers currently in their sixth year of teaching may apply. Award: Lodging and travel costs to NAAE convention for winner Registration to NAAE Convention Engraved plaque Invitation to a special dinner held in winners’ honor **Previous regional winners not eligible to apply Sponsor:John Deere As a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards National Agriscience Teacher of the Year Award Eligible applicants: NAAE members who have inspired and enlightened their students through engaging and interactive lessons in the science of agriculture. Teachers who have been previously awarded the National Agriscience Teacher of the Year award or named as National Agriscience Teacher of the Year Finalist are ineligible to apply. *each state may submit one state winner for the national judging Awards & Recognition: Six regional winners will be selected (one from each NAAE region) Winners will be recognized onstage at the National FFA Convention Lodging and travel costs to attend NAAE Convention for the winner Registration for the NAAE convention for the winner $1500 grant to purchase agriscience equipment/supplies Engraved plaque Sponsor: PotashCorp(pending for 2013 – if Potash not sponsor this award, it will not be given in 2013) As a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards Outstanding Middle/Secondary School Ag Ed Program Award Eligible applicants: Agricultural education programs in middle & secondary schools Award: Lodging and travel costs to NAAE convention for one individual Registration for NAAE Convention for one individual Engraved plaque Invitation to a special dinner held in winners’ honor *Previous winners may reapply for this award every 5 years Sponsor: Monsanto (partial sponsorship pending) As a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Eligible Applicants: 2-year postsecondary institutions or full time young farmer and adult ag ed programs. *Previous regional winners may reapply for this award every 5 years Award package: Contingent on 2013 sponsorship Lodging and travel costs to attend NAAE Convention for winner Registration for convention Engraved plaque Invitation to a special dinner held in winner’s honor Sponsor:Toyota (sponsorship pending) as a special project of the National FFA Foundation

NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Changes in OPAP Award Program (changes effective in 2010) Change in award eligibility The Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program award recognizes exemplary 2-year postsecondary institutions and full time young farmer and adult ag ed programs. Qualifying young farmer and/or adult ag ed program staff must devote at least 50 percent of their teaching time to this level of instruction.

NAAE Awards NAAE Ideas Unlimited Award Eligible Applicants: Any current NAAE member with an outstanding teaching idea *Must have been a member for 3 years previous to application or since he/she began teaching Award: Registration for the NAAE Convention Engraved plaque $400 travel stipend to attend NAAE convention Sponsor: Delmar Cengage Learning

  11. NAAE Awards NAAE Teacher Mentor Award Eligible Applicants: Experienced agriculture teachers who have became mentors for beginning agriculture teachers The six national winners will receive: Engraved plaque $400 travel stipend Registration for NAAE annual Convention Sponsor: CEV Multimedia

  12. NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Cooperation Award Eligible applicants: Organizations, agribusiness companies, and others who support agricultural education Award: Engraved plaque at the NAAE annual Convention Registration to the NAAE Convention

NAAE Awards NAAE Outstanding Service Citation Eligible applicants: Current and retired NAAE members who have made significant contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional, and national levels. Award: Engraved plaque presented at NAAE convention Registration to the NAAE Convention

  14. NAAE Awards NAAE Lifetime Achievement Award Eligible applicants: Retired NAAE members who have made significant contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional, and national levels. Award: Engraved plaque presented at the NAAE annual Convention Registration to the NAAE Convention Sponsor: Ford (pending for 2013)(as a special project of the National FFA Foundation)

  15. NAAE Awards Professional State Association Award Eligible Applicants: State associations who have engaged in certain well-planned activities designed to serve the best interest of the members and the profession. Award: Recognition at the NAAE annual Convention
