First Transnational Partners’ Meeting Activities • the overall review of planned activities during the project period and detailed allocation of tasks and responsibilities between partners and project phases • agreement about the partnership mobility scheme • coordinating partner presents examples of good practice about educational water trails • development of common methodology to identify and select water areas that will be embraced to the project in each participating country • approval of evaluation, monitoring and dissemination plan

  3. Phase 1: “Identifying and selecting water areas that will be embraced to the project in each participating country" • each partner identifies water area that will be embraced into project and where educational water trail will be established

  4. Expected results January 2009 • Selection and identification of water areas: Each partner has selected and identified water area in his country that will be embraced to the project in order to establish educational water trail.

  5. Common methodology for establishing educational water trail 1. Selection and identification of water areas spring 2. Portfolio of natural heritage, cultural heritage and economic impacts on water areas lake 3. Plans and maps of educational water trail river 4. Educational boards/signs 5. Textbooks and workbooks on CD, hard copies and web sites for VET along water trails swamp 6. Dissemination, evaluation and further implementation of project results and products VET curriculum, environmental policy, sustainable economy

Common methodology for identifying and selecting water areas NATURE springs, rivers, lakes, swamps, coasts unique features rare and endangered species seasonal events (wildflower blooms, bird migrations…) wildlife management areas/programs habitat restoration areas INTERPRETIVE SIGNIFICANCE TECHNICAL HERITAGE CULTURE old fort sites wells, mills, sawmills site of a historic event

Examples of good practice - More than 100 educational trails in Slovenia • Examples: • Water educational trail Dobrava • Water educational trail Mokoš • Geographic educational trail Selo • Ecoremediation educational trail Mala Krka - Towards the Educational Trail Vonarsko Lake Developmental opportunities of the region Environmental condition of the lake and its drainage area Forests on the ground of the lake Birds of the lake
