  2. Promoting The Faith • Feed the sheep by teaching God’s Word. [Acts 20:19-27] • Declare to churches the “whole of God’s Will”

Guarding The Faith • Overseers must diligently protect the sheep from their enemies {false teachers, etc.} • True Church consists of only those who by Christ’s grace and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit are faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God. • Jesus has made us responsible for all persons under our care. {2 Tim. 1:14}

  4. Must exercise discipline with regard to theological, doctrinal and moral matters. • Maintain a right attitude toward divinely inspired Scripture. • Have a burning concern for Church purity and maintain a firm stand for the truth.
