What is the FOP? • An organization made up of police officers from around the country. • Run by cops, for cops. • The largest Police organization in the world with over 321,000 members. • Started in 1915 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania • No labor union association • For police officers and their families • National, State and Local Representation • Over 5500 members in Texas

Membership Benefits • LEGAL REPRESENTATION • 2 Plans Available: • Grand Lodge Legal Plan: $215/ year or $107.50 twice annually • Texas Labor Council- $15/month • VOICE IN AUSTIN AND WASHINGTON D.C. • HR 218- Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (Federal) • Police Officers Bill of Rights (Texas) • LODGE SPONSORSHIP & ASSISTANCE • COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT • Shop with a Cop, KidCare, Work with charities such as, Easter Seals, Special Olympics and the Torch Run • ACCIDENT LIFE INSURANCE • $10,000 Line of Duty • $10,000 Accidental • $1500 Natural

Vantage Care Retirement Health Savings Plan • Owned by the Grand Lodge FOP • Only FOP members can participate • Never lose your funds • Must be employed (State, County, City, Federal) • Pre-taxed and tax free when used • Pays your spouse or dependents medical expenses. If no spouse or dependents, pays members beneficiary • Use after turning 45 years old, upon retirement, 30 days after dropping FOP membership or after becoming permanently disabled.

  6. Membership Dues • You pay monthly dues to your local lodge as established by the local membership • Your local lodge will pay the State and Grand Lodges dues, which are currently $10.00 and $6.50 ($16.50 annually). Dues pay for services of the State Lodge such as insurance.

  8. Lodges Throughout the State • Texas FOP has 44 lodges throughout the state, including lodges in all major cities of Texas. • Local lodges assist member in various issues such as pay benefits and administrative details.
