  1. Group 1: “Standardized” CL protocol proposal – Review, understand & implement; Strengths and weaknesses of on-going CL efforts. (Pardo) • Through fall Measurements are necessary to help determine which regions have high deposition that need to be measured and its effects studied; • Dynamic modeling and model comparisons are needed; • Empirical Critical Loads can be developed for Nitrogen deposition; • There will be difficulty incorporating fire effects into CL determinations; • Ozone added as a Critical Level in regions where it is relevant; • Ecosystem classification needs to be agreed upon; • It is necessary to link aquatic and terrestrial CL.
