A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Gary Guion holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, which he received as a Kimberly-Clark MIS 333K Scholar. After earning his degree, Gary Guion secured a position at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. As an Associate in the firm’s Global Risk Management Solutions division, he held responsibility for new product rollouts, customer relationship management, contract negotiations, and account management. During his tenure, he played instrumental roles in teams that completed a turnaround of DaimlerChrysler’s underperforming extranet and provided a provisioning solution for American Airlines. Gary Guion subsequently joined Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, LP where he aided in the closings of 45 transactions totaling more than $750 million.
His position required that he analyze institutional REITs to recommend the best methodology for recapitalizing existing debt structures and develop new, strategic debt and equity relationships. Today, Gary Guion serves as a Partner at GGFH holdings, Inc in Texas, where he raised more than $10 million in equity during his first six months with the firm. As a Partner, he handles all quotidian operations, including accounting, finance, risk management, and budgeting. The firm now holds stake in a private equity investment and 22 real estate projects. In the near future, the firm plans to establish a fund for individuals struggling with Alzheimer’s disease.
Outside of work, Gary Guion strives to spend as much time with his wife and children as possible. He enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle by mountain biking, playing intramural basketball, and lifting weights. In addition, he remains involved with his local church and attends a variety of sporting events. A successful entrepreneur and executive, Gary Guion possesses extensive acumen in the realms of real estate, finance, and business development. Presently, Gary Guion operates as an equity, real estate, and commercial construction contractor. As President and founder of the D&G Investment Group, Inc., he oversees all aspects of the growing firm, including financial management, budget preparation, employee supervision, sales, contract negotiation, and project scheduling.
In the first full year in business alone, D&G reached a target off $1 million in revenue, an achievement the company has since surpassed as it has reached an eight-figure annual income. At the same time, Guion functions as a Partner with GGFH Holdings Inc, a major Texas-based real estate development firm. Gary Guion initiated his career as an Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, joining the prestigious firm's Boston office directly out of college. Serving in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Risk Management Solutions division, he supervised an array of sales and business development responsibilities that included account management, contract negotiations, customer relationship development, and new product rollouts.
While occupied in this capacity, he secured a performance review ranking in the top 10% of all employees across the global practice. Following his tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Guion transitioned to Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP, where he worked in the real estate and structured finance division of the company. Gary Guion holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas (UT) at Austin, graduating from the McCombs School of Business in 2002. While enrolled at UT, he won the coveted Kimberly-Clark MIS 333K Scholarship award as a project manager. As a result, Mr. Guion received a partial educational scholarship. .
Since graduating, he also completed licensure as Real Estate Salesperson through the State of Texas. He maintains ongoing affiliations with an array of professional organizations.A member of the Real Estate Council, Gary Guion also belongs to the Associated General Contractors of America and volunteers with the School of Business' Estate Advisory Council.
