Gary Moore of Premiere Cinemas Leading the Way In Design Gary Moore of Premiere Cinemas and his team received recognition in the industry for their innovative mezzanine-less cinema designs, which integrated digital cinema into the theatre’s architecture. Premiere designed and built the world’s first known mezzanine-less cinemas, eliminating traditional overhead projection booths. Premiere has a digital command center that controls all functions of the projection and sound experience. “It’s more of a lab-coat operation these days than it is just a projection experience.”

Gary Moore of Premiere Cinemas Great Boss Gary Moore of Premiere Cinemas tells his theatre managers that they are his boss, not the other way around. “Our job is to make sure you have everything you need to do the best job you can entertaining our guests,” he told them at a summit recently at a CineShow conference. “In that respect, you don’t work for me, I work for you, and so does our entire corporate team.” Joel Davis, the Vice President of Operations for Premiere, stated that Premiere’s culture that is “round-table management”, a place where ideas are always welcome and everyone is encouraged to contribute.

He has donated money to the North Texas Food Bank, Texas Adopt-a-Highway Program, Drug-Free Youth in Texas Programs, 4-H Club, Texas Ag Association, Miss Texas Junior Pageants and the Texas Tech Athletics, just to name a few causes. Gary Moore of Premiere Cinemas believes in supporting worthwhile causes in communities throughout the country.

Premiere gives to many causes, including the Permian Basin Food Bank, Concho Valley Food Bank, High Plains Food Bank and The South Plain Food Bank. Not to mention the donations made to the Salvation Army and A Helping Hand. “The Christmas Trees in our lobbies have become sort of a symbol for everyone pitching in to help those less fortunate,” explained Moore. “We take pledges through the holiday season from customers and pin a card in their name to our tree, and we match their donation levels.”
