Gary Shoats is a passionate theatre artist. He is self motivated and finds acting a great way to express ones emotions and thoughts. He believes that one needs to have the talent and strong envision for performing in front of the audience. He has practiced theater since his childhood and has participated in many dramas and plays since his school days.
He always had a strong command on his speech and enacted well. Gary feels that to act or get into a character one needs to do a thorough study. They need to behave and act like the person and study about them with a clear mind to adapt the character's behavior.
Gary Shoats has done many plays and acts so far, and he gives the credit for it to his family and friends who have been very supportive of him. Since his school days he would perform in front of them many times till he would get it perfectly. The credit to his versatile acting skills also goes to the travelling he has done.
He feels that the more you travel the more you get to know about various people, cultures, and one can learn a lot from them. He has also done many street plays and theatre shows that focus on the stringent norms of the society. These mainly depict the various superfluous rules and patterns that people follow blindly to become a part of a community or group.
Gary Shoats strongly believes that acting is a way to let go ourselves. As for a short period we become someone else and play the character of a person who we cannot become. It is like living an alternate life for a short while says Gary. Acting is a great way to depict ones views, conquer inhibitions that the society controls.
In his free time he also takes acting classes for those who want to improve their acting skills and need professional guidance. He helps them learn and discover their talents so that they can do better. Gary also suggests that mediation is also a good way to be more focused and confident.
