  3. Decimals  Percents • A percent can always be written as a decimal, and a decimal can be written as a percent, by moving the decimal point two places to the right like this: http://www.math.com/school/subject1/lessons/S1U1L7GL.html#sm1

  4. Converting Percents to Decimals • To change a percent to a decimal, drop the % sign and move the decimal point two places to the left • Express the percents as a decimal • 30% = .30 • 125 % = 1.25 www.thericeschool.org

  6. Converting Decimals to Percents • To change a decimal to a percent, move the decimal point two places to the right and attach a % sign. • Ex: 0.34 = 34% • Ex: 0.01 = 1% www.thericeschool.org
