ENTERING/EXITING the classroom • Before entering the classroom, line up by the brick wall • Do not crowd the door, allow the class before you to exit the room • After I dismiss you, line up at the door quietly and WALK to your next destination
BEFORE Class Begins • Use the restroom and get a drink. • Finish your conversations. • Put chewing gum in “gum bucket” • Read the directions on the screen • If you have a pull out lesson, write your name on the white board • Have a pencil and your class folder • Be seated in your assigned seat.
AFTER the Bell Rings • Answer the question of the day • Fill out the objective for the day • Be ready to warm up. • Physically, mentally, and vocally. • And yes…everyone participates.
Your Music & The Risers • Pick up the music for the day from the 6th grade table • You are responsible for all music assigned to you. • When I ask you to go to the risers, go quickly and quietly • Make sure your toes are at the front of the riser • Please Be Safe! • Do not touch the back wall and do not jump on and off the risers
Restroom Procedure • Raise your hand and ask to use the restroom • Fill out a pass and hand it to Mrs. DeAmbrose to sign • Fill out information in sign out log • Remember, it is never okay to be disruptive, so please ask to use the restroom when Mrs. DeAmbrose is not teaching unless it is an emergency
When class is over… • The folders must go nice and neatly back into the folder box. • Pick up any trash on the floor around you. • 7th period, stack the chairs in towers of 5 • Mondays & Tuesdays make rows for after school choir • Wait until I dismiss the class.
The Key to Success • Follow all school and district procedures. • To use equipment and materials appropriately. • Respect other people’s rights. • Please ask to move around the classroom. • Actively participate in ALL class activities. • Please do not interfere with the teacher’s responsibility to teach. • Remember it is never okay to be disruptive, hurtful or disrespectful.

What does it look like … • If I have a pull out lesson • When I need to use the toilet • When I have a question during class • If I am asked to move to the safe seat • During classroom transitions • When I have to stack my chair
