Essential Question: Should the FCC and other media groups censor music based on content and lyrics? Conclusion: Based on research and interviews with several people, I have came to the conclusion that censorship in any case, but mostly in music is wrong.
Research FCC: the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) was established in 1934 by the “Communications Act of 1934” Censorship: To suppress or delete anything considered objectionable
Research Continued. • In April of 1990 a large retail music chain, Wax Works, announced it would no longer stock albums bearing warning lables. • Does censorship interfere with the first amendment. • Heavy metal music was blamed for their children's delinquency.
