Major concepts to be taught: • Second Nine Weeks: Identifies 2D and 3D shapes, orally count to 50, count objects in a set up to ten and write numbers. • Third Nine Weeks: Orally count to 75, solve simple word problems. • Fourth Nine Weeks: Orally count to 100, solve simple math facts up to 5.
Grade Level Expectations • Students will be able to count orally to 100 by the end of Kindergarten. • Students will be able to solve simple addition and subtraction word problems. • Students will be able to identify and build 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes. • Given two numbers, students will be able to identify the larger number.

They need to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without a calculator on a daily basis. This can be done during dinner, while driving to town, as a game instead of watching T.V. or playing video games, etc.
Fundraising Made Easy • Apply for a Target School Reward Card – it is like your bank card and the school receives a percentage of the purchase and you receive a discount for using the card. Apply when you check out. It is very easy. • Apply for a Harris Teeter School Reward Card – Apply, use, and the school receives a percentage of the purchases made. • Our recent fundraiser did not meet the schoolwide goal set. However, students reaching their goal will be given a party prior to Christmas break.
