  4. Prewriting • This is the getting-ready to write stage. • helps you organize thoughts and ideas • choose a topic • Consider the following: • function • audience • form • Graphic organizers help you brainstorm ideas.

  10. Drafting • Drafting is forming ideas into complete sentences. • Label the draft “Sloppy Copy”. • Skip every other line to leave space for revisions. • Do not worry about punctuation, correct spelling, and neatness.
