Used runs • 152166, 152214, 152221, 152345, 152409, 152441, 152508, 152777, 152844, 152845, 152878 • Used stream • physics_MinBias • Good Run List • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/pub/AtlasProtected/MCP2010Data/MCP_2010_v0.4.xml • Package • Trigger/TrigAnalysis/TrigEffJpsiTools-00-06-17-30 • Trigger matching tool with a DR cut using AtlasExtrapolator • Ntuple maker with AOD/ESD • Event selection : MCP one • Good timing (MBTS or LAr) • abs(MBTStimeDiff)<10 || abs(LArECtimeDiff)<5 • At least 3 good ID tracks • numberOfPixelHits>=1 && numberOfSCTHits>=6 • At least 1 ID track with p>4GeV

  3. Muon selection : based on MCP one • Common selection • hasCombinedMuon==true • |eta (at IP)|>1.05 • TGC region • |eta (at TGC3/RPC2)|<2.4 • To make sure within trigger acceptance. Obtained with TrigEffJpsiTools. • For StacoMuonCollection • author==6 (Staco) • numberOfSCTHits+numberOfPixelHits>4 • matchChi2<50 • |phi(MS)-phi(ID)|<4. or pT(CB)/pT(ID)<2.0 • To reject fake high pT muons by a Staco bug (fixed by f242). A low pT ID track with f~± p and a low pT MS track with f~∓p givea fake high pT combined muon. • For MuidMuonCollection • author==12 (MuidCo) • numberOfSCTHits+numberOfPixelHits>5 • Any trigger chamber cut is not used. • To avoid positive bias. • Number of phiLayers cannot be calculated with DESD due to NULL Trk::Track pointer.

  4. L1_MU0 efficiency for TGC with Staco combined muons pT>10GeV Green : 45/46 = 98+/-2% Red : 44/46 = 96+/-3% Blue: 44/46 = 96+/-3% No ROI : run152777, event 1305078, eta -1.443, pT 10.75GeV One ROI at +2BC in Barrel: run152441, event 4361085, eta -2.107, pT 10.87GeV Black : all good combined muons Green : with ROI (+/-3BCs) Red : with ROI (0BC) Blue : with DR match with ROI (0BC)

  5. L1_MU0 efficiency for TGC with Muid combined muons pT>10GeV Green : 49/54 = 91+/-4% Red : 48/54 = 89+/-5% Blue: 46/54 = 85+/-5% Turn-on curve is slightly different from Staco. Due to difference of momentum scales??? Black : all good combined muons Green : with ROI (+/-3BCs) Red : with ROI (0BC) Blue : with DR match with ROI (0BC)

  6. pT>10GeV以上でSLが鳴っていないもしくはDR matchingが取れない8イベント • 2BC連続トリガーvetoのため : Staco, MuidCB • Run 152441 LB 503 Event 4361085 pT 10.69 GeV eta -2.11 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 1 #ROIs(0BC) 0 • Run 152777 LB 114 Event 1305078 pT 11.04 GeV eta -1.44 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 • DR matchingが取れない。IDとMSで大きなエネルギー損失のせいなどで(横)運動量が大きく異なるため。 : MuidCB (StacoではID-MS間のmatchChi2でカットしているから残っていない) • Run 152409 LB 290 Event 2563419 pT 14.32 GeV eta -2.34 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 1 #ROIs(0BC) 1 • Run 152508 LB 252 Event 1518988 pT 14.14 GeV eta 1.35 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 1 #ROIs(0BC) 1 • TGCの外をトラックが通っている : MuidCB (Stacoではトリガーチェンバーヒットをトラッキングのシードに使っているから、トラックを引かない) • Run 152441 LB 408 Event 2635420 pT 13.23 GeV eta -1.07 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 • Run 152777 LB 264 Event 3850705 pT 10.34 GeV eta 1.12 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 • TGC2にヒットがない。HVのせい? : MuidCB • Run 152777 LB 149 Event 1930625 pT 13.51 GeV eta 2.19 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 • HiPtWireとHiPt Stripはあり、vetoされているわけでもないがSLがない。 : MuidCB (早川さん、確認お願いします。) • Run 152409 LB 399 Event 4227845 pT 10.21 GeV eta 1.19 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0

Run152441, event2635420, lb0408._0014.1 pT(MuidCB) 13.23 GeV eta -1.07 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 Positive charge on Side C  inefficiency MuidCB and MuTag reconstructed this track but Staco didn’t. No TGC trigger, No TGC hit, the track passes outside TGC pT(CB)=13.23GeV, pT(ID)=13.31GeV, pT(MS)=28.29GeV eta(CB)=-1.075, eta(ID)=-1.075, eta(MS)=-0.939, eta(TGC3)=-1.068

  11. Run152777, event3850705, lb0264._0008.1 pT(MuidCB) 10.34 GeV eta 1.12 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 Negative charge on Side A  inefficiency MuidCB and MuTag reconstructed this track but Staco didn’t. No TGC trigger, no TGC hit, the track passes outside TGC eta(CB)=1.118, eta(ID)=1.118, eta(MS)=1.117, eta(TGC3)=1.107

  12. Run152777, even1930625, lb0149._0001.1 pT(MuidCB) 13.51 GeV eta 2.19 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 No TGC trigger No hits in TGC2 Forward A12 phi2HV issue??? No Muonboy segment.

  13. Run152409, event4227845, lb0399._0003.1 pT(MuidCB) 10.21 GeV eta 1.19 #ROIs(+-3BCs) 0 #ROIs(0BC) 0 pT(Staco) 9.78GeV Two negative muons.
