  3. Objective • Design, construct, and test a hardware mechanism that will be integrated into the overall Detection, Protection, and Notification system and will serve as a means to prevent/eliminate injury to our elderly client.

  4. Initial Design Criteria • Safety (First & Foremost) • Lightweight & Compact (usage annoyance is avoided) • Recyclable with minimum cost • Fast Deployment • Durable in all environmental conditions • Protects the Hip • Focus on a specific floor surface situation (flat wood)
