  9. Day 1: City tour

  10. PROJECT SITE: Khumbharghar, a small village, about 3 hours drive from Mumbai.

  11. Our project site 1 in Khumbharghar

  13. Our task was: • Make 3000 bricks • Construct a house • Construct a classroom

  14. We started working from the second day

  15. One of the challenges included making bricks…

  18. Composition of Bricks

  19. 12 parts soil /earth

  20. 8 parts gravel

  21. 2 parts cement

  22. Lime water according to the temperature and humidity

  23. Mixing them…

  24. .

  25. Weighing the mixture [approximately 11.2 kg] and pouring it into the specialized machine…

  26. press it!

  28. And when the brick is hard…

  29. The brick cracks when you put too much water

  30. And that’s how we accomplished our target.

  32. Two days of trekking and camping experience was organised in the Western Ghats.

  33. 600 AD Buddhist monastery

  34. Visit to Imagica amusement park.

  35. Mission accomplished!!!
