Kate Le Vann successfully makes the setting realistic, even though she created the story with her imagination. Although the setting is in Britain, Kate manages to keep the similarities in their lives the same as in ours, so you can relate to what is going on in the novel. By the end of the novel, Livia figures out what is most important to her, and learns that you need to give everything a chance, including her biggest one, moving to another country.
