What can EdTech do for you? • Help you enhance, enable, and expand the learning experience for your students with technology • Connect you with peers to collaborate and share ideas for improving the teaching and learning environment with technology • Provide a reliable, supported teaching and learning technology environment
Support Services • Workshops and self-help materials • Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) • partnership with CERTI (Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation) • eLearning consultation • Course design and tech support for effective web-enhanced, blended & online learning

Support Services Clickers • Personal Response Devices • Use TurningPoint software • Used in Chemistry, Math, Geology, and many other disciplines • Approximately 40% of our students use clickers each semester
Lecture Capture Lecture Capture • Record and archive lectures in real-time • Bookmarking for both instructors and students • Mobile options
Google Apps for Education • Google Docs • Collaborate on documents • Google Sites • Build collaborative websites and areas to work together
Support Services Classroom Technology • Includes: • Projector • Instructor PC • Laptop connection • Some document cameras • Some SMART technology • All centrally-scheduled classrooms are equipped with projector and PC *Personalized classroom walk-through available upon request
Support Services CLCs • ~ 40 labs • ~ 900 computers • ~ 360 software apps • Several are 24-hour or extended-hour labs • Many departmentally owned with discipline-specific software http://edtech.mst.edu/clc/ *You need to request specialty software for CLCs prior to the semester needed.
Support Services CLC Software request Process • Link is on CLC website edtech.mst.edu/clc • Starts after middle of semester • Request window announced via EduMine list • Request any and all software needed for instruction • Be safe over sorry – request it even if you aren’t sure of location • Be thorough – request it even if it is already installed
Support Services CLC Software request Process • Software MUST meet the following criteria: • Works with Windows 7 64-bit • If it needs to “check out” a license, then it must be license managed by the license server • The software meets campus security standards • The software has been determined through testing that it does not interfere with other software packages installed on the same machine

EdTech Team Chris Hillen System Support Analyst • Install and maintain presentation technology: • Projectors and external displays • SMARTboards and Sympodiums • Document Cameras • Lectern PCs • AV switchers and controls • Audio systems • First response for technical issues in classrooms. • Creating and deploying images for the classrooms and “Virtual CLCs”. • Evaluating new equipment and software for use in teaching.
