  3. Removing Pulp and Seeds • To make a jack-o-lantern you need to cut off the top. • Then you need to take out the seeds and the pulp.

  4. Pumpkin Pulp and Seeds • The inside of a pumpkin has pulp and seeds.

  5. Carving the Face • After you remove the seeds and pulp, you carve a face on the pumpkin. • You can draw the face with a pencil.

  6. Jack-O-Lanterns • Many people put their jack-o-lanterns outside to greet trick-or-treaters.
