Foods • Yams, plantains, rice, millet, corn, and peanuts are staple foods in Côte d'Ivoire • Kenke: Cornmeal cooked in leaf eaten with dried fish and chile paste and you can eat it on the go • Red Red: Boiled bananas sweet red palm oil usually breakfast meal • Foo Foo (national dish) boil cassava green planties • Treeless plain: rice with peppery peanut sauce • They are really big on coca bean

Places To Visit • Paris of West Africa: Beautiful parks, broad boulevards heart of this town St. Pauls Cathedral. • Hotel Ivory: Skating rink ,casino ,bowling movie theater, tennis courts and supermarket • Banco National Park: Outskirts of Abidjan 7,500acre tropical rain forest • Korhogo has an airport, pools, movie theaters, large markets • Man: Lush green hills is the main thing to visit here is it colorful market , then a water fall in a bamboo forest.

Music • Traditionalmusicstyle series of melody and rhythm • They don’t do anything without music Rice, Death, Marriage, Birth, Weather are all celebrated with music. • Can make local instruments out of anything gourds, animal skins and horns.Instruments used Talking drum, djembe, Kpalogo, Shekere (Youroo), Akombe, Cleavers • King Sunny Ade

  7. Religion • 12% Christianity • 25% Muslim • 63% Traditional beliefs • The majority practice traditions ancestral worship. They believe dead transformed into sprits reminded in contact with living • then juju priest give them advice of how to avoid danger and bless necklace to scare bad sprits

Life Style • Poor people live in overcrowded slums without water electricity and have cone thatched house. • Rich people live in city with 2, 3 story house • Parents, children, grandparents, uncle, and aunts all live in the same house • Western and traditional clothes • Western people clothes blue jeans shirt girls traditional clothing wear pangnes
